Dear friends,
It’s a difficult time for communities all around the globe with more people affected by the current virus outbreak every day. Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the ongoing crisis.
We are gutted that the festival could not go ahead as planned, but we fully understand and respect the measures taken. One of the sectors that’s taking a head-on blow is the dance scene, with all the parties and organizers included.
However, after a long period of negotiating with our suppliers and parties involved, there is a welcome break in the clouds: Kizomba Lounge Festival will return in 2021 on the 5-8th of March with the same quality, same experience, and great ambiance. A big thank you goes out to all artists and suppliers who made this possible on such short notice.
This amazing news means all tickets (hotel included) for this year’s edition will automatically be converted into tickets for Kizomba Lounge Festival 2021. Together with the artists on board for next year and all of you guys, we can’t wait to make up for lost time and create an amazing edition!
While we are mindful of the fact these are uncertain times for a lot of you as well, we would like to appeal to your love for the dance scene. Every year a lot of organizers put a lot of effort and love to come up with a great festival year after year. By holding on to, or donating your ticket, you are helping us to get through the next few months. Your support will also make sure that, together with all parties involved, we can turn Kizomba Lounge Festival into an even louder event after this crisis is over. Let’s stay united and stand tall together!
If, for any reason, you are not able to join us on the dancefloor next year you will be able to apply for a partial refund of 80% until the 1st of July via a private message on our Facebook page or via mail at info@kizombaloungefestival.com.
Although we negotiated with all our suppliers and hotels in order to offer you a full refund, KLF was canceled during the preparation of the festival. This cancelation led to costs for our suppliers and their offered services with some facing bankruptcy, including ourselves. Since we got canceled during the day of the preparty, all expenses had been paid in advance and we were not able to get a refund.
A third option we offer is that you can sell your ticket -without any extra charges for the name change- until the 31st December.
Last but not least, our fourth option is to donate your ticket. With this option you choose not to receive a compensation for your tickets bought for KLF2020. This way you support Kizomba Lounge Festival and all parties involved.
So to summarize these are the options that we can provide:
1. Ticket is valid for 2021 ??
2. Ask for 80% refund ?
3. Do a free name change ?
4. Donate your ticket ?
Please know this is truly the best we can offer. We promise we will come back with KLF bigger and better than ever. For this we need the support of our dancers to keep Kizomba Lounge Festival alive.

* Due to the fact that KLF2020 was completely sold out we will only start selling tickets for KLF2021 if and as soon as tickets become available.

C’est une période difficile pour les communautés du monde entier avec de plus en plus de personnes touchées par l’épidémie actuelle chaque jour. Nos pensées vont à tous ceux qui sont touchés par la crise actuelle.
Nous sommes déçus que le festival n’ait pas pu se tenir comme prévu, mais nous comprenons et respectons pleinement les mesures prises. L’un des secteurs qui en prend un coup est le milieu de la danse, impactant tous les évènements, organisateurs inclus.
Cependant, après une longue période de négociations avec nos fournisseurs et intervenants, il y a une nouvelle bienvenue dans l’orage : le Kizomba Lounge Festival reviendra en 2021 du 5 au 8 mars avec la même qualité, la même expérience et la bonne ambiance. Un grand merci à tous les artistes et fournisseurs qui ont rendu cela possible dans un délai aussi court.
Cette nouvelle bienvenue signifie que tous les billets (hôtel inclus) pour l’édition de cette année seront automatiquement convertis en billets pour le Kizomba Lounge Festival 2021. Avec les artistes bookés pour l’année prochaine et vous tous, nous avons hâte de rattraper le temps perdu et de créer une édition inoubliable !
Bien que nous soyons conscients du fait que ces temps sont également incertains pour beaucoup d’entre vous, nous aimerions faire appel à votre amour pour la danse et votre bienveillance. Chaque année, de nombreux organisateurs fournissent beaucoup d’efforts pour vous proposer un grand festival année après année. En conservant ou en revendant votre billet, vous nous aidez à traverser les prochains mois. Votre soutien veillera également à ce que, avec tous les intervenants concernés, nous puissions faire du Kizomba Lounge Festival un évènement encore plus fort après la fin de cette crise. Restons unis et restons debout ensemble !
Si, pour une raison quelconque, vous ne pouvez pas nous rejoindre sur le dancefloor l’année prochaine, vous pourrez demander un remboursement partiel de 80% jusqu’au 1er juillet via un message privé sur notre page Facebook ou par mail à info@kizombaloungefestival.com.
Bien que nous ayons négocié avec tous nos fournisseurs et hôtels afin de vous proposer un remboursement complet, KLF a été annulée en pleine préparation du festival. Cette annulation a entraîné des coûts pour nos fournisseurs et leurs services offerts, certains faisant face à la faillite, dont nous-mêmes. Depuis que nous avons dû annulé le jour de la pré-party, toutes les dépenses avaient été engagées et nous n’avons pas pu obtenir de remboursement.
Une troisième option que nous vous proposons est de vendre votre billet – sans frais supplémentaire pour le changement de nom – jusqu’au 31 décembre.
Enfin et surtout, notre quatrième option consiste à faire don de votre billet. Avec cette option, vous choisissez de ne pas recevoir de compensation pour vos billets achetés pour KLF2020. De cette façon, vous soutenez le Kizomba Lounge Festival et tous les intervenants impliqués.
Donc, pour résumer les options disponibles :

Sachez que c’est vraiment le meilleur que nous puissions offrir. Nous promettons que nous reviendrons avec KLF plus grand et meilleur que jamais. Pour cela, nous avons besoin du soutien de nos danseurs pour maintenir le Kizomba Lounge Festival en vie.

WITH GREAT SADNESS WE HEREBY INFORM YOU THAT OUR EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED
This afternoon, Thursday 12 March, a press conference took place regarding the coronavirus. Our Prime Minister, Mark Rutte and chief of RIVM (National Institute for Public Health and the Environment) have unfortunately decided to ban all events and gatherings over 100 visitors in order to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
We are extremely disappointed because we did all we could have done to maintain and safely hold the event. But the public health and governments orders have overruled and in this case the public health can not be guaranteed. Therefor our festival can not take place this weekend and we have to postpone it until further notice.
We know a lot of people were excited to come to the festival. At the moment our first focus is informing everyone that the event has been postponed. To whom it may concern, we encourage you to reach out to your airline or insurance, to see the possibilities for postponing in light of the coronavirus. To those who have bought a ticket for our festival we will contact you within a few days to propose the options we have for you.
We are receiving a lot of questions regarding the statement made by the Prime Minister. We kindly ask for your understanding and to be patient as we will come back to you in the coming days.
